Garam is a Hindi word, it means hot or warm and Masala means spice mix so Garam masala means blend of warm spices. This powder provides warmth to the body. Thereby detoxifying and balancing the whole body system.

Garam masala, a mix of spices like coriander, cumin, cardamom, clove, cinnamon, mustard seeds, fennel, fenugreek, peppercorns. The spices are generally roasted and ground and added to various dishes for flavour.

Garam masala adds warmth, sweetness, and a touch of heat from the black pepper. It is intended to be a fragrant spice as well as flavourful. 

Garam Masala stimulates appetite and boosts digestion by promoting release of gastric juices in the stomach. 

Garam masala is full of antioxidants which help in preventing skin problems and also help fight inflammation. Pepper is good in giving a boost to the body's metabolism. Cloves and cardamom in the garam masala makes great for fighting bad breath.

Garam masala is usually added near the end of cooking so that it not only seasons the dish but adds to the aroma. Some additional garam masala may also be sprinkled on top of the dish.
